Bergan Energy was founded in 1988 by Mr. Baslimane Youcef, “May Allah have mercy on him,” a visionary passionate about innovation in the field of batteries and renewable energy. Thanks to him, the company experienced exceptional growth and continues to play a major role in the sector.

Since its founding in 1988, SARL BERGAN ENERGY has built solid experience, enabling it to become a key player in the manufacturing, development, and marketing of lead-acid starter batteries for both light and heavy vehicles, as well as solar batteries.
Today, with a well-established nationwide distribution network, BERGAN ENERGY is committed to consolidating its local position while pursuing its ambition for international expansion. This growth relies on innovation and the introduction of new products to the market.
In line with government directives, particularly to meet the growing needs for renewable energy, we integrated the development of industrial and stationary batteries into our 2018-2020 strategic plan. This project marks a new step in our mission to serve our customers while actively participating in Algeria’s economic growth.
We are resolved to continue this dynamic progress, with the help of our teams and by counting on the trust of our partners. May our efforts enable us to achieve our ambitious goals.

A History of Growth

1988 – 1996

Began manufacturing ebonite batteries, producing 30,000 units per year with 19 workers.

1997 – 2001

Modernization and CKD (Completely Knocked Down) assembly with technological assistance from Tudor, increasing production to 300,000 units per year, with a 30% integration rate.

2002 – 2003

Established an electrical charging workshop for lead-calcium batteries, producing 1,200 units per day with 60 employees.

2004

Started manufacturing plates, with a workforce of 70 employees.

2007

Implemented a new lead-calcium plate production line, achieving an 85% integration rate.

2007

Manufacturing of wet batteries with the technological assistance of JITKIE.

2008

Creation of SARL Bergan Energy.

2013

Added a second production line for oxide and plates, with the workforce exceeding 120 employees.

2014

Launched Bergan Energy, transferred the charging line to Aïn Defla, and began producing batteries with a 90% integration rate.

June 2016

Transferred the assembly line; the main unit now manufactures plates for Bergan Energy.
